About The Owner |
In 2000, I graduated from Spartan School of Aeronautics with my A&P License, and was hired by American Flyers as a Maintenance Intern, where in exchange for taking care of their Santa Monica, California fleet I earned my Private, Instrument, and Commercial. Two weeks after completing the program--and with just over 200 TT under my belt--9/11 hit, and we all know the rest of that story... I was able to shift gears however, and discovered a passion for teaching and passing on my love of flying as a Certified Flight Instructor. By 2016 I had just under 2,000 hours of Dual Given in my logbook, and it was time to transition back to flying the line.
During my career I have flown the mail, provided flight tours, served as an air ambulance pilot, and experienced the skies above our great nation from coast to coast as both an Airline Captain and Corporate Pilot. Most of my Part 135 time was amassed in Alaska, but I have also operated out of DEN, LAX, ATL, and PHX with Boutique Air. My favorite non-Pilatus memories include flight instructing at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado; and a close second were the Polar Bear Excursions that launched from Fairbanks, Alaska to the Arctic Ocean in the Piper Navajo Chieftain. I look forward to putting my diverse and extensive experience to work for you; and strive to provide a tailored and premiere experience for each of my Flight Guests. |

In 2021, I relocated to Kentucky from Alaska to be closer to family and explore country living in the Heartland. I answered a months old ad posted by Heartland Capital Investments (HCI) on a jobs board, and was surprised to learn that the position had not been filled. The company had no prior aviation experience and was waiting to find the right person before purchasing the airplane. We proceeded to buy a 2018 Pilatus PC-12NG and over the next three years, I guided our aviation ventures as we explored adding more aircraft and pilots to the fleet. During that time we flew over 275 missions and 1,000 incident free flight hours. Eventually HCI came to the conclusion that sustainability in the uncertain 2024 market was best preserved by transitioning the airplane to a local management company with access to other Pilatus aircraft and multiple pilots. As a result I am now available to Pilatus Operators at large as a Contract Pilot. Below you will find the Letter of Recommendation provided to me by the owner of Heartland Capital Investments. ![]()
