The manager graciously allowed me to borrow the part and take it to machine shop. The tow adapter has come in handy a number of times at smaller airports with limited towing capabilities. I keep it inside a soft sunglass case, and whenever I go to use the adapter that bright red felt bag is hung from the yoke by its black drawstring as a gentle reminder to remove the adapter from the nose-wheel fork. The kit is replicable and the priced at cost plus 20% and shipping.
